Cookies and storage

1. No tracking cookies; one saved choice

This build sets no cookies and installs no analytics or advertising trackers. System fonts and local styles avoid third-party font requests. Local storage is used only to remember your cookie-notice choice; session storage, IndexedDB and service workers are not used to retain visitor preferences.

The same notice appears on every page until you choose Accept or Decline. Both choices dismiss the notice and are saved across pages, browser refreshes and later visits on the same website origin in the same browser. Following “Learn more” or navigating elsewhere without choosing does not count as acceptance.

Accept records acceptance of optional cookies; Decline records refusal. No optional cookies are currently included, so neither choice loads trackers or changes the archive tools.

Purpose

Remember your choice and avoid repeating the notice. The website code does not send the preference to a server.

Duration

No automatic expiry. The choice remains until replaced through Cookie settings or removed through browser storage controls or by the browser.

To change your choice, select “Cookie settings” in any page footer, then choose Accept or Decline. Reopening settings does not erase your existing choice; “Close settings” or the Escape key closes the notice without changing it. Clearing this website’s browser storage resets the choice and causes the notice to appear again.

If your browser blocks local storage, your choice dismisses the notice for the current page only, and a message explains that it could not be saved. Private browsing and browser-managed storage deletion can also limit persistence.

2. Selections stay in memory

Archive filters and correction drafts exist in the current page state. Reset controls clear those states. They are not deliberately retained as preferences between visits. Browser-managed restoration or autofill is separate from website storage. The saved cookie choice is independent of these tools and is not cleared when their reset controls are used.

3. Downloads and clipboard

Choosing an export creates a file on the device through the browser. Choosing copy places text on the clipboard if permitted. These voluntary copies are not cookies and are not sent back to the website. Their later storage and sharing depend on the device and applications used.

4. Technical hosting mechanisms

A hosting provider or security layer may use technical logs, caching or other mechanisms outside these static files. The page-level zero-tracker setup does not establish what a particular host does. No hosting vendor or cookie inventory is invented here.

5. Changes require matching controls

If optional analytics, advertising or similar tools are added, their exact inventory and purposes must be disclosed. Where consent is required, those tools must remain unloaded until an appropriate choice; rejection and management must be equally accessible. The current saved choice must not be treated as permission for newly introduced purposes without an appropriate updated consent process.

A banner alone does not make a deployment compliant. This notice describes only the current implementation.
